DIRECTOR

Before joining the faculty at Brigham Young University, Tim was the Artistic Director for Seattle Civic Light Opera as well as Northwest Summer Playhouse. He continues to work as a professional theatre director while at BYU helming 15 productions at Tuacahn Amphitheatre and other regional venues such as the Cape Playhouse on Cape Cod.

Tim has collaborated with industry-leading professionals such as composer Frank Wildhorn on two regional premieres of his works, “The Count of Monte Cristo” and “Wonderland”, both presented at Brigham Young University, and Broadway actor Jeff McCarthy in “Sweeney Todd” at Utah Repertory Theatre and Utah Valley University.

Tim is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).

Artistic Directorships

Seattle Civic Light Opera

Prior to his time at Brigham Young University, Tim served as Artistic Director of the Seattle Civic Light Opera Company.

Northwest Summer Playhouse

Tim, along with his wife, started a summer stock theatre company, Northwest Summer Playhouse. The theatre was the first Actors’ Equity Association affiliated theatre in the state of Idaho.

Provo Theatre Company

Tim served as Artistic Director of the Provo Theatre Company for two years.
